Originally
props were designed to run counter-clockwise, viewing from the front
of the ENGINE or MOTOR. This
is because, until recently, model Planes were primarily powered by
Internal Combustion engines with Counter Clockwise (CCW) rotation
viewed from the front. And used a Propeller considered as a
conventional
(RIGHT-HANDED) tractor prop as Viewed from the Front. ( This is still the way I View or call Propellers )
But things have changed with the New Comers called Drones. And have started Viewing the Propellers from the Back, or Motor side. That is why if I sell a Right Hand Tractor Prop it may have a L stamped on it.
